Edible Red Blood Recipe Sausage Fingers

Well it ain’t rocket science, ketchup looks like blood but it needs a bit of tweaking.

Nothing fancy, but it does the trick.  Do you want a trick or treat???  Well at first it was like a trick, not looking like a bloody finger at all.   In the end, the treat was tasty enough.

You know, you might like more blood red or more zip in the blood, so feel free to experiment with the ingredients.  This is a first for me and I had fun with it.

You have fun too!

2 tspn HP Sauce

1 cup ketchup

10 drops tabasco sauce (or other hot sauce)

5 drops of worcestshire

5 drops of red food colouring (poison but necessary)

2 pillsbury dough crescent rolls (cut in half) 8 per package and I slice in half so you yield 16 per pack.

1 package of Schneiders skinless sausages.

I cook sausages in oven first.  Once cooled down, roll them in your little dough halves then cook until puffy and brown.

Then make your fingers with the blood (but you have to cut a bit of the end off to support the nail, and top with a almond to represent the nail). I roast the almond for more flavour.

I had to use whole almonds because that was all I could find.
